Josh Somsel - Associate Pastor

Josh was born and raised in the great state of Michigan and spent the first 25 years of his life there. After high school Josh became a plumber for five years until he felt the Lord calling him into full time ministry so he went to college. He started his studies in youth ministry, but the Lord directed him to inner city ministry. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Bible and Urban Ministry.

While Josh was in college he helped run the youth group at the church he grew up in and worked at several youth programs including dirt bike camps, rescue missions, and after school programs. He also served as a Resident Assistant and discipled other young men on his floor. As part of his course requirements, Josh completed an internship through World Impact Inc in Wichita, KS. This later turned into a full-time position post graduation.

Josh enjoys all things in God’s creation whether climbing mountains, hunting and fishing, or riding motorcycles. He also enjoys working with his hands and building things out of wood and metal.

Emily Daze - Director of operations

God has been preparing Emily for her role as The Bridge’s Director of Operations for most of her life. She was raised at our “mother church,” West Evangelical Free Church, and God early planted in her character seeds of care and concern for people in need which is a value we share at The Bridge.

She graduated from John Brown University in Siloam Spring, AR with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and enjoys using those skills as needed at The Bridge. When Emily graduated, she filled in as Receptionist at WEFC for a brief time which enabled her to see the inner workings of a church office. Then she gained five years of experience as an Office Administrator in a public setting.

The Bridge Church’s mission has quickly become a passion for Emily, and she’s excited to use her abilities to further that mission. Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and her family and friends.
